What is T.E.A.C.H.?

The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MISSOURI Scholarship (Teacher Education And Compensation Helps) is an educational scholarship opportunity for early childhood providers, directors and owners in licensed centers, family and group homes. T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI links education, compensation and retention to enrich the quality of care for children in the state. The project is administered by the Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network. T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI offers three levels of scholarships toward college credit for a CDA Credential, an Associate and a Bachelor degree. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need and commitment to the field of early childhood care and education.

T.E.A.C.H. Missouri:

    Pays for 75% to 90% of books and tuition (depending of scholarship level)
    Provides a travel stipend (at Level 3)
    Pays a bonus to the recipient upon completion of the educational year
    Offers daily phone access to a scholarship counselor
    Reimburses sponsors for recipient paid release time (at Level 2 & 3)

Are you eligible for T.E.A.C.H.?

If you are a teacher, director, or family child care provider who:

has a desire to earn an early childhood college degree
works in a licensed child care facility with children ages 5 and under
is 18 years or older
works at least 30 hours a week in a 9 -12 month program
Has a GED or high school diploma
makes under $14.5/hour as a teacher or $16/hour as a director or owner
